You are only allowed to drive a Hertz vehicle into EU countries (except Bulgaria, Cyprus, Estonia, Greece, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta and Romania) and Switzerland.
You may drive to Bosnia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia but the following fees will apply:

Please note that Hertz vehicles cannot be taken on any ferries.
*Please refer to "Environmental Zones" in the German Rental Qualifications & Requirements if you intend to drive to or drop the vehicle in Germany.
Should these restrictions be ignored, all insurance (Third Party Liability, CDW, TP, PAI, Super Cover), if accepted, shall be deemed null and void. The driver will be held fully responsible in case of damage to, or loss of the vehicle and will bear all consequences, including the cost of repatriation of the damaged vehicle.

Border Crossing Fee
For cross-border journeys, the charges listed below are charged per day.
Entry is permitted into EU countries (except Bulgaria, Cyprus, Estonia, Greece, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta and Romania) and Switzerland at the following rates:
